Datuk Vernon Ong Lam Kiat delivered an exceptional session on “Appellate Advocacy – Perspective from the Bench” on 16 July 2026, offering invaluable insights to our members. The presentation masterfully guided attendees on transitioning from trial to appellate advocacy by aligning arguments with judicial expectations.
It provided practical training on refining written and oral persuasion, from crafting high-impact submissions and leveraging strategic citations to handling sharp judicial questioning seamlessly under pressure. We extend our sincere gratitude to Datuk Vernon Ong for sharing his extensive judicial experience, to Mr. Indran Kumaraguru for moderating the session, and to all members and pupils who actively participated.
