The Negeri Sembilan Bar Committee, through the joint efforts of the Continuing Legal Education (CLE), Young Lawyers & Pupils, and Professional Standards & Development Committees (PSDC), successfully organized a seminar titled “Employment Law Updates & Navigating Unfair Dismissal Claims” on 29 January 2026.ย
The session featured Mr. Lim Zi Han, a seasoned litigator with a focus on employment disputes and corporate liability. Mr. Lim guided participants through recent statutory amendments and shared effective advocacy strategies for the Industrial Court. A key highlight of his presentation was the case study of a recent matter where he successfully secured an award exceeding RM2 million for a claimant in an unfair dismissal suit. The talk also touched upon the practical realities of legal practice, with Mr. Lim engaging the audience through his unique perspective as the creator of the ‘Dengan Izin’ legal comic series.
