Courtesy Visit to the State Prosection Office Negeri Sembilan
On 10 June 2025, we, the Negeri Sembilan Bar Committee 2025/2026, led by our Chairman, Mr. Karthigesan Shanmugam, paid a courtesy visit to YBhg Puan Ku Hayati binti Ku Haron, Director of Prosecution for Negeri Sembilan,led her team of DPP’s at the State Legal Advisor’s Office.
During the meeting, we had the opportunity to discuss several pressing issues including remand proceedings and the process of DNAA (Discharge Not Amounting to Acquittal), Plea Bargaining and other matters affecting the administration of criminal justice in the state.
We believe the session was productive and meaningful in fostering better working relationships between the Bar and the prosecution, as well as in advancing the administration of criminal justice in Negeri Sembilan.
