Participation of the Negeri Sembilan Bar at MyBar Carnival 2025

The Negeri Sembilan Bar was proud to participate as an exhibitor at the MyBar Carnival 2025 held on 21 September 2025 at KLIA Ekspres Arrival Hall, KL Sentral. Our delegation comprised nearly half of the committee members of the Negeri Sembilan Bar comprising of Puan Deidra, Puan Khairulhamimi, Puan Fatihah, Miss Chrysandy, Miss Kavitha, Mr Azim, our pupils Miss Aina, Miss Ain, Miss Fatin and we were honoured to have the support and presence of our Chairman, Mr Karthigesan Shanmugam and our State Bar Representative, Mr Indran Kumaraguru throughout the entire event.

The NS Bar Committee were delighted to be part of the inaugural effort by the Malaysian Bar where the law meets the people. It gave us an apportunity to exchange views and gain valuable insights for a progressive NS Bar. We also took the opportunity to engage and network with fellow exhibitors, fostering camaraderie and professional exchange across various Bar Committees, State Bars, government agencies, and NGOs.

The Negeri Sembilan Bar booth quickly became one of the highlights of the event. We proudly showcased the rich heritage of Negeri Sembilan’s Adat Perpatih, which drew significant interest and admiration from visitors. Our female committee members and Bar pupils attended in traditional baju kurung complete with the telepuk head adornment.

Visitors were particularly intrigued by the cultural demonstration at our booth. Many eagerly tried on the telepuk themselves and captured memorable photographs, adding a personal and interactive dimension to their experience. This unique cultural element distinguished our booth from others, giving it a warm reception and making it one of the most talked-about features of the carnival.

Overall, our participation provided the Negeri Sembilan Bar with excellent exposure and visibility, while strengthening bonds among our own members, pupils and with the wider legal fraternity and public.

The event left us with a deep sense of pride in representing Negeri Sembilan, joy in sharing our traditions with others, and renewed enthusiasm to continue building bridges between the legal profession and the community.

It was truly a day of learning, laughter, and legacy, one that we take home as both an honour and an inspiration for the work that lies ahead.
