Coffee Session 2.0 by the Negeri Sembilan Bar Conveyancing & Recreational Committee
On Tuesday, 6 May 2025, the Negeri Sembilan Bar Conveyancing & Recreational Committee, led by Puan Deidra Nur binti Azmi, hosted Coffee Session 2.0 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Auditorium, Bar Room, Negeri Sembilan Bar. The event was held under the auspices of the Negeri Sembilan Bar Committee chaired by Mr. Karthigesan A/L Shanmugam, and was open to all members of the Bar.
This engaging session provided a valuable platform for members to connect and discuss practical legal issues in a relaxed and collegial setting. One of the main highlights was an insightful presentation by Mr. Lee Boon Shian on the Formation and Function of the Joint Management Body (JMB) under the Strata Management Act 2013 (SMA 2013). Mr. Lee also shared common challenges faced by conveyancing lawyers in dealing with JMBs.
The session also featured contributions from other esteemed members of the Bar, who discussed a variety of ongoing issues and concerns within the conveyancing practice.
Coffee Session 2.0 successfully achieved its aim of fostering open dialogue, professional development, and greater camaraderie among legal practitioners in Negeri Sembilan.
