On 26th and 27th April ,Negeri Sembilan Bar and Advocacy Training Committee of Bar council conducted an advocacy course to all lawyers and pupils at the Seremban court complex.
The chairman of Negeri Sembilan Bar,Mr Karthigesen Shanmugam said ,the objective of this course is to enhance their advocacy skills in court,how a lawyer should effectively present a case forward to the court with clarity.
The effective one to one, training done by senior members of the bar included examinations in chief,cross examinations and making a summary of one ‘s case to the court followed by video reviews.
It took place in a court room setting and participants got to see how things unfold as it does in real situations, and to instill on the young advocates ,it is not about knowing the law but how to present your case and convince the judge.
The stimuli exercise gave the participants a great learning opportunity of advocacy.
